About our speakers: Dr. Jessica Besbris completed her neurology residency at UCLA in 2015 and her palliative care fellowship at the West Los Angeles VA in 2016. She is board-certified in both Neurology and Hospice and Palliative Medicine. She is an Assistant Professor of Neurology and Medicine at Cedars-Sinai Hospital in Los Angeles, where she provides inpatient and outpatient palliative care consultation to persons living with serious neurological disorders, and serves as Director of Neuropalliative Care. Emily Downing-Mahli is an Advanced Certified Hospice and Palliative Care, Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner who completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at the University of Massachusetts, Boston, and Master of Science in Nursing at UCLA.
