As people with Parkinson’s and their family members know, we are our own best advocates. After all, no one knows the needs of people with PD better than those who live with it every day. Sharing your story with lawmakers can help them understand how policy decisions impact the PD community. Anyone can be an effective advocate!
In this online event with Julia Pitcher, Director of US State Government Relations for the Michael J. Fox Foundation, you’ll learn how to advocate, and the impact that taking action can have across the community.

About our speaker:
Julia Pitcher, J.D. is the Director of US State Government Relations for The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, where she leads the first state government affairs office on behalf of the Parkinson’s community. Outside of her professional world, Julia is raising two young boys who enjoy acrobatic feats that add to gray hairs, and while she is a former professional singer, her concerts are now conducted during carpool for non-paying, small humans in car seats.
