About our speakers:

Lauren Keats is a neuropsychologist at Re-Active Physical Therapy and Wellness, a neurorehabilitation clinic in Los Angeles. Her clinical training and passion lies in working with individuals and families affected by neurological disease and chronic health conditions. Dr. Keats provides both therapy and neuropsychological assessment services to understand how the brain has been differentially impacted by neurological changes, and to help individuals capitalize on psychological and cognitive strengths to improve their daily functioning and quality of life. She is a firm believer in the power of shifting one’s mindset or behavioral patterns to make improvements in one’s lives, and is eager to share ways to help individuals make shifts in their lives to feel more like the person they want to be. Dr. Keats lives in the South Bay with her husband, 2 kids (ages 1 and 4), and two cats, all of whom keep her quite busy.

Amanda Zendejas is a doctoral student studying clinical psychology at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology. While her primary passions have generally surrounded human sexuality, sex therapy, and working with the LGBTQ+ community, she is also extremely interested in how those identities may intersect with those affected by PD and other chronic health conditions.  Empowering people to explore and take the necessary steps to become the most authentic version of themselves is one of Amanda’s greatest joys. She strives to help people live the life they truly want to live, whilst being compassionate and understanding of the unique challenges and situations each person may encounter.  Amanda enjoys running outdoors, especially at sunrise or sunset (bonus points if she can take a quick dip in the ocean afterwards!).
